Steve Aoki

Steve Aoki was born on November 30, 1977, in Miami, Florida. American electro-house musician as well as record producer, D.J. Music executive. He is the third son of Rocky Aoki and Chizuru Kbayashi. His father was a former wrestler who founded the chain of restaurants Benihana. He has two siblings: sister Kana (who is sometimes referred to Grace, her middle name) Grace) & brother Kevin (owner of Doraku Sushi restaurant). His half-sister's model and actress is Devon Aoki. He was born in Newport Beach, California & graduated from Newport Harbor High School in 1995. There, he was a member of the team for badminton on the varsity. After graduation from UC Santa Barbara with a Bachelor of Arts degree, was enrolled at UC Santa Barbara. degrees, one of which was in feminist studies, and the one in sociology. He also made records for DIY and hosted underground shows from his Biko room in the Santa Barbara Student Housing Cooperative while in college. The Pickle Patch became a concert venue after the apartment was named The Pickle Patch. He was active in student activism and founded the Revolutionary Anti-Imperialist League section on campus. At the age of 20, he was establishing his own label, that he named Dim Mak, a reference to the idol of his youth Bruce Lee. He came out with I'm In the House in March 2010 in collaboration with Zuper Blahq who is the alter-ego of will.i.am from the Black Eyed Peas. It hit the top spot at No. 29 on the U.K. singles chart in its initial week. It topped the charts on both the U.K. Indie Chart & U.K. Dance Chart. The song was featured in an episode of MTV's Jersey Shore as well as in the feature film Piranha & the trailer for Think Like A Man. HitQuarters interview in May 2010 with Lucas Secon revealed that Rivers Cuomo and he had just recorded a song together. Pollstar declared him the top-grossing North America dance artist from shows in 2012. He has collaborated with artists like Afrojack and Linkin Park, Afrojack. Linkin Park, Will.i.am. Lil Jon. Blink-182, Laidback Luke. BTS. Louis Tomlinson. Rise Against. Vini Vii & Fall Out Boy. He's known for remixes with artists such as Kid Cudi
