Emma Watson

Emma Charlotte Duerre Watson was the daughter of British parents Jacqueline Luesby (a lawyer) and Chris Watson (a French mother). When she was five years old, young, she moved to Oxfordshire where she went to Dragon School. Emma was aware of her desire to act at when she was six years old. She was trained for a number of years at the Oxford Branch of Stagecoach Theatre Arts. This part-time theatre school taught her dancing, singing, and acting. She was a stagecoach actress and had taken the lead role in several Stagecoach productions. The casting process began in 1999 Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone 2001 The film adaptation of J.K. Rowling's bestselling book. Casting agents stumbled upon Emma through her Oxford theatre teacher. After eight consistent auditions David Heyman revealed to Emma and Rupert Grint (other applicants) that they had been chosen to play Hermione Gringer, Harry Potter, and Ron Weasley. The film's release Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone (2001) was Emma's cinematic screen debut. The film was the most successful film of 2001 in terms of weekend and opening day sales. Reviewers praised the film and the performances of three young actors who were the most prominent. The well-known British newspaper The Daily Telegraph, called her performance "admirable". Emma was awarded the Young Artist Award as Leading Young Actress in a Film Film and was nominated for five other prizes. Following the debut film in the hugely successful Harry Potter franchise, Emma became one of the most popular actresses across the world. Hermione Granger remained her character for a total of ten years in the Harry Potter films. Emma received two Critics' Choice Award nominations from Broadcast Film Critics Association.
